Develop Outdoors was established in 2018 by it’s founder, Yolandi Taylor-Banks following the end of her 14 years as Manager of Education, Youth and Sport at the YMCA DownsLink Group. When the services delivered by the YMCA came to an end Yolandi saw the need for continuing quality provision in the community and followed her mission to fill this.
Develop Outdoors started to trade in 2019 and Yolandi now has a passionate team who are dedicated in Develop Outdoors vision to provide positive change and accessible opportunities for all.
The centre would provide learning spaces for our Alternative Provision programmes and cohesively join up our community projects with other service providers who want to improve the local offer creating a recognised and well-needed community base. A space to work intergenerationally, where a community is built, providing employment opportunities for young and old alike between the Saltdean and Seaford coastal area.
We aim to broaden our outreach initiatives to connect with more individuals and communities in need.
Our goal is to initiate and support more community projects that address local health and wellbeing needs.
We seek to establish strong partnerships with local organisations to enhance our collective impact on community health.
This project represents a unique opportunity to invest in enhancing community life and supporting local development.
