🌟 Student Success at DOT Café 🌟While many people enjoyed coffee and cake at our launch event, some of the real stars of the day were our amazing young people.Throughout the day, students took on a variety of roles including barista support, photography and event assistance, helping to capture special moments, support the team and gain valuable real-world experience.From preparing and serving coffees to taking photographs of the event, our students demonstrated confidence, responsibility, communication skills and a willingness to get involved. We couldn't be prouder of how they represented Develop Outdoors and DOT Café.One of the key reasons we created DOT Café was to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to develop employability skills in a supportive and welcoming environment.Over the coming months, the café will offer a range of work experience, volunteering and training opportunities, helping young people build confidence, develop workplace skills and gain experience that supports their future education, training and employment journeys.A huge well done to all of our students who played a part in making launch day such a success. ☕ What a Day! ☕Today we officially opened the doors to DOT Café and we're still smiling after such an incredible launch day.We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us – local residents, community members, friends, partners, businesses and some of the key people who help make our community such a special place. Young People Helping Shape the Future of Chatsworth Park's Nature TrailThis half term week some of our Forest School children partnered with Friendly Fox Design to help create exciting new features for the Chatsworth Park Nature Trail.The session began with a walk around the park, observing the wildlife and natural spaces that make the area so special. Together, the group identified animals, insects and birds that visitors might spot throughout the year, while discussing ideas to make the trail more engaging, interactive and educational for the wider community.After collecting natural materials and taking part in wildlife-themed games and activities, we headed back indoors to cool down and get creative. The children explored fascinating facts about habitats and lifecycles before designing ideas for new trail signs featuring creatures such as frogs, toads, moths, birds and insects.The group then presented their ideas and suggestions for how Friendly Fox Design could bring them to life as part of the new improved interactive trail.Once the signs have been produced, our Build & Grow and Forest School groups will work together to install them around the park, creating a lasting community resource that encourages people of all ages to explore, learn and connect with nature.We can't wait to see the finished trail! 💚#ForestSchool #ChatsworthPark #FriendlyFoxDesign #NatureTrail #OutdoorLearning #LearningThroughNature #CommunityProject #WildlifeEducation #NatureConnection #Peacehaven #TheHavens #EnvironmentalEducation

Our students have been bee-usy this week creating these wonderful wooden bees for our Forest School!Using tools, creativity and problem-solving skills, they showed fantastic focus and determination throughout the project.
